Lukas Hein
Lukas Hein is a saxophonist hailing primarily from the Pacific Northwest of North America. He is currently working at the Saint Lucia School of Music and has lived and travelled throughout the globe. He has studied and collaborated with Larry Miller, Jeff Homan, Robert Crowell, Warren Rand, Marvin "Doc" Holladay, Gernot Blume, Shao Way Wu and Tom Bergeron. In 2010, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by traveling to Brazil and recording a Bossa Nova album with the Brazilian group Dialeto Brasileiro. His sound is reminiscent of the cool jazz of the 1950s, calling to mind such artists as Stan Getz and Paul Desmond with his relaxed, melodic style.
