Wagner Trindade
In 2009 Wagner Trindade came to the United States, where he was awarded a scholarship to Western Oregon University and enrolled in the Masters of Music program. Although his studies have kept him very busy, Wagner has been performing with school-related ensembles, his own trio Dialeto Brasileiro, and with artists such as Lizz Wright, Allen Toussaint, Nancy King, Lynn Anderson, Mentor Williams, Sherry Alves, Art Lillard, Renato Caranto, Mel Brown, Gordon Lee, Steve Christofferson, Bill Hughes, Don Latarski, Jason Palmer, Keller Coker, Tom Bergeron, Christopher Woitach and the American Metropole Orchestra.
He attended the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro State), where he received his Bachelors Degree in music with a specialization in arrangement for Brazilian Popular Music. In 2011 he received the degree of Master of Music in Contemporary Music, and several awards such as Outstanding Artistic Achievement, Western Hemisphere Orchestra Outstanding Member, Western Hemisphere Orchestra Outstanding Member and Composer.
He has also established himself as an arranger, composer and performer on recording projects, as well as with his own trio, Dialeto Brasileiro which he formed with Cassio Vianna (piano) and Claudio Felix (drums).
