Dialeto Brasileiro

Dialeto Brasileiro is a Brazilian Jazz Trio that fuses bossa-nova, samba and baiao in a jazzistic play. They got together in mid-2002 in the city of Sao Goncalo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Their initial idea was simply to improve their own musicianship. But, by the end of 2002, Dialeto Brasileiro drummer Claudio Felix had won Batuka! - a nationwide drummers' competition organized by Vera Figueiredo in Sao Paulo. The following year, the group enrolled in the Rio de Janeiro phase of the National Instrumentalists Contest and then went on to win the Cascavel Jazz Festival.

Dialeto Brasileiro has come to be well-known for its solid work in the Rio de Janeiro instrumental music scenario and for its work in instrumental music events and MPB shows in several Brazilian cities as well.
