The composition Blues for Julia recently took third place in the Just Plain Folks 2009 Music Awards in the Instrumental Jazz category. Just Plain Folks is a grassroots organization that recognizes small-label and independent artists much like the Grammys recognize major-label artists. Blues for Julia is a cut from the Clovis CD written by guitarist Garry Hagberg.
