January Podcast

Published by Tom Bergeron under Podcast

This month’s podcast episode features Polish composer and bassist Krzysztof Majchrzak. His composition Balladak was recorded October 2004 in Lyon, France, and appears on Labirynt’s second album, Exit. In the piece, you’ll hear the impressionistic theme carried and varied by the violin, alto sax and trumpet, while Krzysztof waxes eloquently on the bass.

Next month, we’ll feature a cut from Bugbear: Whirled News Plays the Music of Adam Bates. Stay tuned!

The first episode is “Trikonasana,” a track from the most recent Labirynt CD, Motion Tissue. “Trikonasana” refers to a yoga “asana” or pose. It’s sometimes called the “Triangle Pose.” I hope you enjoy it!
